Health professionals typically receive insufficient training to address issues such as abortion care, contraception, and sexuality in clinical practice. Reproductive health events occur across the lifespan, and health care professionals in all specialties will likely encounter patients presenting with reproductive health issues at some point in practice. Providers must be prepared to sensitively and effectively address these issues with patients.

The lack of reproductive health training often begins with gaps in the curricula taught to future health professionals (i.e., medical students, residents, nurse practitioner students, etc.). One barrier to incorporating this content into existing curricula is the lack of time and resources to locate or create appropriate educational materials. CORE provides free access to reliable, up-to-date content suitable for teaching future and current health professionals about a variety of reproductive health topics.
